Lake Waramaug Benefit House Tour and Gala, September 24, 2011, Organized and Sponsored by Litchfield Hills Sotheby’s International Realty
Washington Depot, Connecticut (August 8, 2011). Five beautiful homes will be exclusively showcased for an event benefitting The New Milford Hospital Foundation and the Lake Waramaug Task Force -- “for the health of the community, for the health of the lake.” The event will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 9:30AM to 5:00PM. The Cocktail Gala will be held that evening at Lake Waramaug Country Club from 5:30 to 7:30. It will feature music, open bar, and live and silent auctions of fabulous items including a dinner reservation at famed Rao’s for eight, a private Momix performance with a cocktail party before or after the performance for up to fifty guests courtesy of Michael Ackerman of The Pantry in Washington Depot, Conn., Big Wave Entertainment will provide an outdoor movie evening at the highest bidder’s home, floor tickets to a Miami Heat basketball game with two nights at the W Hotel in Miami, and a behind the scenes tour of the exclusive Sotheby’s Auction House treasures and a lunch for 6 people in New York City.
The tours will begin at 9:30, 12:00 and 2:30. Small, luxury vans will leave the State Park at the northwest end of the lake at the above times. There is ample parking. Please plan to arrive one half hour before the tour’s scheduled departure.
The homes on the Tour have never before been open to the public. They represent the finest in historic and modern architecture with gardens and views. This is a rare opportunity to participate in a festive event benefiting two important organizations performing service to our community. Stephen Sondheim is the Honorary Chair of the Tour and Gala.
